Reading is Fundamental is a great Rotary Community Service program that is done through the Hillsborough County Headstart Program.

Once a month, The Rotary Club of Tampa volunteers meet at the La Paloma Headstart Center on Nebraska Ave and spend one hour reading to the children there. At the end of the reading session, each child is allowed to keep the book they read, a gift from our club. This is about more than just reading. The benefits of this program are not only to the child but the reader. It's such a small gesture, but it means so much.

Reading times are the second Thursday of the month, from 9:00a.m. til 10:00a.m. at:
La Paloma Headstart Center
